The underfloor wheel lathes in tandem execution constitutes a system consisting of two underfloor wheel lathes of a given type from the TUP machines family. They are designed for simultaneous machining of both wheelsets of one bogie (both axles) in an assembled state on the vehicles. The machines working in a tandem mode ensure shorter machining time of the entire vehicle. The system can be made in two versions: a movable tandem system with the use of the movable plate where the machining of two wheelsets of one bogie of different wheel base is possible, and a fixed version where the wheel base of rolling stock is constant.
